Da Lat “Crazy House”

(VOV) - In Da Lat city in the Central Highland province of Lam Dong, there is an unmissable landmark world-famous for its bizarre architecture, fondly known as the “Crazy House”.

Initially, the house was named “Hang Nga guesthouse”, but was then changed to “Crazy House” as it grew to reflect its unusual exterior.

In some ways reflecting the romance and natural environment surrounding Da Lat city and inspired by architect Antoni Gaudi’s works, Dang Viet Nga designed the unique house located at No. 3 Huynh Thuc Khang street.

The original structure was built in 1990, covering an area of 2,000 square metres, “Crazy House” now has 10 rooms for guests to stay and is one of the must-see attractions for visitors to Da Lat, as highlighted in numerous travel guidebooks.

In 2009, the house was listed by the Chinese People’s Daily as one of the world’s ten most “bizarre” buildings.
