Cruise ship Star Voyager brings 1,600 international visitors to Cam Ranh
VOV.VN - A cruise ship carrying 1,600 international visitors arrived at Cam Ranh International Port in Khanh Hoa province, southcentral Vietnam on March 11, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The vessel, Star Voyager, brought passengers of multiple nationalities, most of them from Hong Kong (China).
After disembarking, visitors had from 12:00 to 21:00 the same day to explore attractions including the Po Nagar Cham Towers, Hon Chong scenic area and Dam Market. The itinerary also included visits to Truong Son craft village and mud-bathing services at I-Resort before the ship continued its journey to Hong Kong.
The visit marked the 20th cruise ship call to Khanh Hoa since the beginning of 2026, bringing the total number of cruise passengers coming ashore for sightseeing to more than 35,100.
With 28 more cruise ships expected to arrive under registered schedules, the cruise tourism segment is showing positive signs of recovery and sustainable growth, contributing to the overall performance of the province’s tourism sector.
Tourism statistics show strong growth momentum. In the first two months of 2026, Khanh Hoa welcomed an estimated 3.5 million visitors, including 1.7 million overnight guests, up 17.2% year on year. International arrivals accounted for more than 741,000.
In February alone, the province received about 1.8 million visitors, nearly 50% higher than the same period in 2025. Tourism revenue reached VND 7.57 trillion, up 45.2% year on year.
