Cruise ship Star Voyager brings 1,200 foreign tourists to Da Nang

VOV.VN - The cruise ship Star Voyager docked at Tien Sa Port on Septermber 3, bringing more than 1,200 Chinese visitors to explore central Da Nang city.

Upon arrival, around 400 tourists joined tours organized by local travel agencies to popular destinations such as Sun World Ba Na Hills, Hoi An Ancient Town, and the Da Nang Museum. Others opted to explore the city on their own, visiting attractions including My Khe Beach, Linh Ung Pagoda on Son Tra Peninsula, the Marble Mountains, Dragon Bridge, Love Bridge, and Han Market.

To ensure safety and a quality experience, relevant authorities worked closely together in welcoming the visitors, maintaining security and order, and promoting a civilized tourism environment, while also taking measures against tourist harassment.

According to the schedule, the Star Voyager was set to depart Tien Sa Port at 9 p.m. the same day to continue its journey.

During the National Day holiday (August 30-September 2), Da Nang welcomed more than 620,000 visitors, up 24% year-on-year. Of the total, international arrivals were estimated at 168,000 (up 49%), while domestic travelers reached about 452,000 (up 17%). Tourism revenue exceeded VND 2.2 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 28%.
