Conquering the Roof of Indochina on Fansipan Sapa cable car
VOV.VN - The world’s longest three-rope Fansipan Sapa cable car has welcomed hundreds of thousands of international and local visitors since it was put into operation in February.
Construction work on Fansipan cable car began in November 2013 and the car was inaugurated on February 2. The first phase of the project costs VND4,400 billion. |

Measuring 6,292.5 meters, the Fansipan Sa Pa has been recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world's longest three-rope cable car route. It also sets a record as the world's biggest ascent between the departure and arrival, measuring at 1,410 meters. |
A cabin can accommodate up to 35 passengers |
It has the capacity to shuttle 2,000 passengers per hour. The system cuts the arduous two-day trek to the 3,143 metre summit to just 15 minutes. |
