Con Dao among Asia’s best spring travel destinations for 2026

VOV.VN - Con Dao, an archipelago off southeast Vietnam, has been named among Asia’s best spring travel destinations for 2026, with spring offering cherry blossoms, favourable weather and festivals across the region, according to Time Out.

According to the magazine, spring may be the best time to visit Asia, when cherry blossoms, favourable weather and festivals are in full bloom.

Con Dao ranks second on the list. From a place once known as “Hell on Earth”, the destination is positioning itself as one of Vietnam’s most beautiful island getaways, with luxury resorts such as Six Senses Con Dao.

The Vietnamese destination has transformed itself into an eco-tourism, historical and spiritual destination. The publication describes it as ideal for travellers who wish to explore the country’s top green turtle breeding ground in Con Dao National Park.

At Six Senses Con Dao, a conservation programme allows guests to learn about the species and, starting in April, watch hatchlings return to the ocean. It is also an ideal time for snorkelling, when the water is clear and coral reefs are vibrant, Time Out wrote.

Topping the list of the best spring travel destinations in Asia is Shanghai. Other destinations on the 2026 list include Fukuoka (Japan), Mongolia, Luang Prabang (Laos) and Bhutan.
