VOV.VN - A colorful road adorned with thousands of umbrellas in Van Phuc silk village has attracted a large number of visitors lately as part of its cultural, tourism and trading week.
Van Phuc craft village is located in Van Phuc ward, Ha Dong district, about 10km from Hanoi mainstream areas. This is one of the famous and century-old silk weaving villages in Vietnam. |
The village is colorfully decorated to promote cultural values during the Culture, Tourism and Trading Week. |
The event aims to promote cultural values and traditional handcraft products of residents in Van Phuc silk village to the visitors and the world at large. |
The Culture, Tourism and Trading Week takes place from November 8-17. |
Diverse cultural activities will be held at cuisine and pedestrian path within the village |
Especially, places constantly flooded with passerby, pedestrians and major junctures like the night markets. Activities begin from around 4pm until late, sometimes 11pm. |
The beauty of Van Phuc village is considered “The second Hoi An” in Hanoi. |
Van Phuc silk village has nearly 800 households preserving the traditions of making silk products. |
