The increasing demand for travel to Binh Thuan can be attributed to the long holiday and hot weather that has hit the southern region.
Meanwhile, a diverse range of cultural and sporting activities took place across the beaches of the central coastal city of Da Nang, starting the first major tourism week of the year.

In total, 20 sporting and cultural activities are taking place to mark Da Nang’s 2019 tourism season with a number of activities focusing on environmental protection.
During the national holidays on April 30 and May 1, a vast array of activities took place along My Khe beach, Bien Dong park, and Son Tra peninsula. These include a swimming contest, photo exhibition, chess competition, coracle shaking contest, art, and culinary programs to serve visitors and tourists.
Mr Nguyen Hong Van, a member of Son Tra Peninsula’s Management Board and Da Nang Beaches, said the number of tourists flocking to the beaches of Da Nang has increased by five to six-times in comparison to normal summer days.
Security forces operating at the beaches have been strengthened to ensure the safety of visitors during this special occasion, Mr Van added.
