Chinese delegation surveys tourism services in Phu Quoc
VOV.VN - A delegation of 30 Chinese travel agencies paid a visit to Phu Quoc Island in the southern province of Kien Giang on March 24 to survey tourism offerings and design tours for Chinese visitors in the coming May Day holiday.

The province’s tourism authorities introduced the Chinese delegation to a number of popular tourism sites and unique products, including the Hon Thom cable car, a diving tour of An Thoi, Safari Phu Quoc, VinWonders Phu Quoc, and Eschuri Vung Bau Golf.
Yan Lei, a representative of a Chinese travel agency, shared that he has visited Phu Quoc three times and each time he noticed local significant changes, including the strong development of transportation infrastructure and entertainment facilities.
Yan expressed hope that Phu Quoc would develop even more in the near future, with a number of unique, attractive, and high-quality tourism products tailored to the needs of foreign tourists.
During the upcoming holiday, Yan noted that he would bring Chinese tourists to Phu Quoc for a vacation.
Through the survey, the Chinese travel agencies expressed hope that local tourism businesses would further develop tourism products, create attractive tour itineraries, and enhance culinary offerings to suit the preferences of Chinese visitors.
Currently, more than 20 airlines operate flights to Phu Quoc, both regular and charter, with over 150 flights per week running from various countries and territories.
In January, Phu Quoc airport posted remarkable growth, with over 108,000 seats added, equivalent to growth of 185.2%, according to Aviation A2Z.
This represents the highest growth rate among airports in Southeast Asia, proving the effectiveness of visa exemption policies coupled with the promotion of co-operation among airlines, leading to the launch of new routes and an increased number of flights to the island.
