Those searching for holiday treats for family, friends and colleagues should head to Caravelle’s Christmas Goodies Counter on the ground floor from December 7 to 26 to browse for favorite Christmas sweet treats and to order honey-glazed ham or stuffed roast turkey, prepared with an array of sides and sauces, available on 24-hours notice.
Café de l’Opera on the ground floor will serve its afternoon teas with holiday-themed delights while a choir sweetens the air with much-loved Christmas carols, from December 7-31 from 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Tapas Kitchen will offer food from around the world, presented in bite-sized portions from December 23-25 and from December 31 to January 1 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Nineteen restaurant on the ground floor will have an early Christmas dinner buffet on December 23. There are Christmas Eve Gala Dinner, Christmas Day Luncheon and Christmas Day Dinner Buffet, featuring traditional holiday dishes, such as fresh seafood, Kilpatrick oysters, whole-roast turkey, honey-glazed ham, chocolate fountain and Christmas pudding.
Early diners on Christmas Eve and Luncheon on Christmas Day will be treated to a musical performance from a children’s choir, the hotel’s in-house carolers as well as dancers and a live jazz quartet will play festive tunes from 5:30 p.m. on December 24 and 11:30 a.m. on December 25. Santa Claus will also make an appearance to add to the festivities.
Nineteen will also lay out a lavish year-end buffet on December 31, featuring lobster, crab, oysters and other fresh seafood cooked to order along with sushi and sashimi.
Reflections restaurant on level 3 of the hotel will present two sensational menus for the holidays. On Christmas Eve, executive chef Darren Watson will prepare a five-course menu with a choice of roast sea bass and deep sea scallop with curried cauliflower or Sous vide turkey breast with seared duck liver for the main course.
On New Year’s Eve, Reflections’ lays its tables for the last meal of the year with seared duck liver with almonds, deep sea scallops with yellow capsicum puree and festive spiced roast beef fillet and black garlic playing starring roles. Reflections is also serving children’s set dinners to delight youngsters with mini-menus, Christmas cookies, and chocolate sundae.
The rooftop Saigon Saigon Bar on level 9 will host a Carnival Party on December 24 and 31 with live music from the five-member band, Living Cuba and a selection of cocktails.
For the whole festive month, guests who book any spa treatment of 90 minutes or above at Kara Spa on level 7 will receive VND400,000 credit for the next booking.
There is a festive room promotion of VND2.5 million per night, valid for bookings from December 9-28.
