Bui Vien Pedestrian Street bans vehicles as of July 15

VOV.VN - Vehicles will be banned in Bui Vien Pedestrian Street, Ho Chi Minh city on a pilot basis as of July 15 to create habits for residents and tourists, according to People’s Committee of district 1. 

The local authorities said the inauguration of Bui Vien Pedestrian Street will be postponed as the installation of underground telecoms cable and water supply networks, and sidewalk paving have not been completed.


Vehicles will be banned in Bui Vien Pedestrian Street on a pilot basis from 5pm to 2am every Saturday and Sunday.

With a total investment of more than VND12.7 billion, Bui Vien Pedestrian Street expects to attract more tourists to HCM City.
