British magazine lists Vietnam’s Top 6 must-see destinations
VOV.VN - UK-based Wanderlust magazine has published an article revealing six of the most beautiful places to visit in Vietnam, from the natural beauty of Ha Long Bay to the man-made – yet equally photo-worthy – skyscrapers of Ho Chi Minh City.

As author of the article, Alex Robinson, a travel writer for the magazine, shared that the first destination on his list is Ti Top Island, which is located in the heart of Ha Long Bay.
He suggested that visitors take a trip to the area either at sunset or dawn, when the sky pinks and brightens into oranges and buttery yellows and the sun shimmers across the water, warming the forested peaks whilst casting deep shadows across the ocean.
According to Robinson, the best views to admire Saigon, or Ho Chi Minh City, is from one of the city’s towering rooftop bars, such as Blank on the 75th and 76th floor of the 472-metre-tall Landmark 81 skyscraper.
“Among the tallest in the world, the views from here, with Saigon twinkling at your feet, are magnificent,” the writer stressed.
Robinson also recommends travelling to The Ma Pi Leng Pass in the mountainous province of Ha Giang if holiday-goers visit the country in September during the rice harvest season.
With dramatic views of various rugged peaks and the winding Nho Que River far below, the site is a favourite among adventurous travelers.
Situated in the northern province of Ninh Binh, the author outlines that Ngoa Long Mountain is the best choice for visitors who want to look over the most beautiful part of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In addition, Hoi An Ancient Town in the central province of Quang Nam and Hai Van Pass in the central coastal city of Da Nang were also named in the list.
The ancient town is famous for its well-preserved architecture, glowing lantern streets, and rich culinary heritage. In addition, Hai Van Pass, which stands at 500 metres above sea level, offers an impressive landscape of verdant mountains and clear blue skies.
The Wanderlust writer shared that climbing Fansipan Mountain, up steep, muddy trails which cut through dense jungle is typically seen as a backpacker’s badge of honour.
“The views from the top made it worth the exertion: ripples of rugged ridges running to a distant horizon and dipping into myriad, mist-filled valleys,” he concluded.
