Bangkok Airways to launch first direct Cam Ranh – Bangkok flight
Bangkok Airways has announced its new flight route linking Cam Ranh and Bangkok. The airline will offer four flights a week on a 144-seater Airbus A319 aircraft, starting from January 25 next year.
The airline currently operates three routes between Vietnam and Thailand including Danang – Bangkok, Phu Quoc – Bangkok and Hanoi – Chiang Mai.
Launched in 2016, these flights have an average load factor of 70%, and the new route has been launched due to the great tourism potential that exists between Vietnamese and Thai markets.
Cam Ranh is the latest focus in the airline’s developing network, with the aim of promoting itself as a unique yet friendly airline to Vietnam and the rest of the world.
The outbound flight PG994 will depart from Cam Ranh International Airport at 12:55 and arrive at Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) at 14:40. The inbound flight PG993 will depart from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) at 10:20 and arrive at Cam Ranh International Airport at 12:05. Both flights will operate every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Targeting businessmen and tourists from both countries, the direct connection between Cam Ranh and Bangkok will give Vietnamese travellers as well as expatriates living in Cam Ranh, Nha Trang and surrounding areas an excellent choice for visiting Bangkok with a flight time of less than two hours.
Passengers with FlyerBonus Premier Membership can access the Blue Ribbon Club Lounge where hot meals are served and will also be entitled to privileges at the Blue Ribbon check-in counter, 30 kg baggage allowance and priority baggage claim.
The newly-opened route provides people from the fast-growing economy cities of Cam Ranh and Nha Trang with an easy direct option for visiting Thailand’s vibrant capital of Bangkok. It also marks a milestone for the airline in making Bangkok Airways the only scheduled airline to fly direct to one of the most desired beach holiday destinations for upscale tourists coming from Thailand.
