Ba Ria Vung Tau greets luxury superyacht with 3,500 international tourists
VOV.VN - Saigontourist Travel Service Company welcomed the arrival of the Spectrum of the Seas of the United States’s Royal Caribbean on February 26 at Phu My Port in the southern province of Ba Ria Vung Tau, with the vessel containing 3,500 foreign visitors.
The tourists are mainly from the UK, the US, and Australia and spent time visiting popular tourist destinations in Vung Tau city, including Ho Phap pagoda, Tan Hoa holy temple, Hoa Long market, and ancient houses locally.
The international cruise ship then headed at Ho Chi Minh City to visit typical landmarks such as Independence Palace, the Central Post Office, the city theater, and Ben Thanh market.
Foreign tourists also had the opportunity to participate in cooking classes, visit the Cu Chi tunnels, and cycle to enjoy scenic views of rubber forests and rice fields before visiting the Long Phuoc tunnels.
Following these activities, they are expected to visit a factory that specializes in making traditional local dishes such as coconut candy, rice paper, and popcorn; before heading to wine cooking in the Mekong Delta city of My Tho; taking a boat tour to fruit gardens; and enjoying Don ca tai tu southern folk music.
The cruise ship is expected to depart Phu My port at 19:00 on February 27, concluding a two-day journey to Vietnam.
Since the beginning of the year, Saigontourist has provided maritime and travel services for major international shipping lines such as Silversea Cruises and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, marking a strong recovery for international cruise tourism.
The company also plans to continue receiving multi-national tourists and major cruise ships such as TUI Cruises, Silversea Cruises, Azamara Cruises, Silversea Cruises, and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines in the first quarter of the year.
