Ba Na Hills welcomes over 3,000 Indonesian tourists in three weeks

VOV.VN - More than 3,000 Indonesian tourists paid a visit to the Ba Na Hills tourist site between March 27 and April 15 in the form of Meeting - Incentives - Conventions - Exhibitions tourism (MICE).

Tran Xuan Hung, director of Viking Tours, said the company played a key role in bringing the Indonesian delegation to the central coastal city of Da Nang. The 3,000 visitors marks the largest delegation to visit Vietnam from Indonesia since 2006.

Mr Hung noted that the first destination during their journey to Vietnam was Sun World Ba Na Hills along with Cau Vang, also known as the Golden Bridge, in Da Nang. The delegation were in the process of surveying several destinations in Thailand and the Republic of Korea and chose Da Nang as their stop-over.

The Viking Tour director elaborated on their selection of Ba Na Hills by noting that the site meets the demands and features many characteristics that Indonesian visitors look for such as ease of transportation, high-quality food, and the ability and space to organise a gala for 600 people.

In addition, Ba Na Hills features unique architectural structures and is capable of organising festivals such as the Tulip Flower Festival.

Nguyen Xuan Binh, deputy director of the Da Nang Tourism Department, said that since being put into operation 10 years ago, the Ba Na Hills tourism site has contributed to elevating the image of Da Nang among international tourists.

Moreover, the tourism site has also provides high-quality services and a number of attractive destinations that serve both local and foreign visitors

Mr Binh expressed his hope that investors will inject their money into other tourist sites in the future in order to diversify the range of tourist destinations available to visitors in Da Nang.
