Azerai La Residence Hue among top 10 hotels in Southeast Asia
VOV.VN - Tourism magazine Condé Nast Traveler (CNTraveler) of the United States has named Azerai La Residence Hue in Vietnam’s Thua Thien-Hue province among the top 10 hotels in Southeast Asia for 2022.
With an overall score of 98.95 out of 100, Azerai La Residence Hue was voted as the fourth out of the 10 most popular hotels throughout Southeast Asia in the Readers’ Choice Award 2022.
Azerai La Residence Hue was the country’s sole representative in the list. Stretching over 200 metres along the banks of the Huong river, the 90-year-old hotel features 122 rooms decorated in a simple and modern manner.
According to the magazine, the site takes its identity from the former French colonial governor’s mansion. Indeed, the same nautical modern architecture that makes the villa so charming is reprised in the two modern wings, which were added during a thorough yet sensitive renovation conducted on the original building to ensure the place is pure Indochina.
The remaining names in the list in order include Athenee Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, the Four Seasons Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Four Seasons Hotel, Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok, Thailand, Raffles Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Capella, COMO Metropolitan in Bangkok, Thailand, Langham in Jakarta, Indonesia, and Rosewood in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Condé Nast Traveler outlined that international tourism has been recovering from a period of “freeze” due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Asia is a popular destination for travelers from all over the world who are attracted by its popular locations and luxury hotels.
The Readers' Choice Awards 2022 is an annual award held to honour destinations, accommodation facilities, and services in the tourism industry. This year, the results are based on the votes of nearly 250,000 visitors.
