Air Busan resumes Busan–Hanoi air service after six-year break
VOV.VN - Air Busan of the Republic of Korea has announced the resumption of its Busan–Hanoi route after a six-year hiatus.
Starting December 31, 2025, the airline will operate four irregular flights per week, running until March 1, 2026. Flights are scheduled every Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Departing from Gimhae International Airport in Busan at 20:30 local time (18:30 in Vietnam), the flights will arrive at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi at 23:30. The return flights will leave Hanoi at 00:40 and land in Gimhae at 07:05, with a flight time of approximately five hours. The service will be operated using 232-seat A321 NEO aircraft.
To mark the return of the route, Air Busan is promoting Hanoi's cultural and natural attractions, such as the stunning Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its dramatic limestone karsts. The airline also highlighted the growing popularity of Sapa, often dubbed the "Switzerland of Vietnam," which has become a popular destination for Korean tourists, thanks in part to improved transport links that make it a perfect addition to Hanoi itineraries.
Air Busan first launched the Busan–Hanoi route in October 2018 but suspended operations in February 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The carrier expects the restoration of the air service to help stimulate travel demand and complement its existing routes to Da Nang and Nha Trang.
An Air Busan representative said no other Korean national airline currently operates this route from Gimhae Airport, making it a convenient option for Korean travelers. The carrier said it will continue expanding its network to improve travel options for passengers.
