Air arrivals to Da Nang hit new heights
VOV.VN - The number of tourists arriving to central Da Nang City by air jumped 40% to more than 1 million during the first half of this year, according to the municipal Department of Tourism.

Foreign arrivals to Da Nang were mainly from north-east Asia (the Republic of Korea, China and Japan) flying on direct air routes to the central city. So far, there have been 183 international flights to Da Nang airport this year, 76 more than the corresponding period of last year.
Nguyen Xuan Binh, vice director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, says the high number of visitors is attributed to the organization of an international fireworks festival with a series of attractive sideline programs, such as a sea tourism season and street festival. In addition, the city has opened new international air routes.
Around 27,450 foreign visitors flew to Da Nang during the recent Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day (May 1) holiday, up more than 77% against the same period last year.
