About 10,000 cheap airfares offered at Vietnam International Tourism Fair
VOV.VN - Roughly 10,000 cheap airfares are set to be put on offer at the Vietnam International Tourism Fair 2024 (VITM) which is slated to run from April 11 to April 14 in Hanoi, heard a press conference held on March 20 in Hanoi.
Opening with the theme "Vietnam Tourism - Green transition for sustainable development", the fair will draw the participation of 3,500 local and foreign firms and welcome 80,000 visitors.
Vu The Binh, chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, emphasized that the expo’s theme will further contribute to promoting the new trend of responsible tourism in association with preserving the environment for the cause of development.
The event aims to help turn tourism into a green economic sector by building green tourism destinations and products, accelerating the training of workers in order to improve the overall quality of tourism, as well as elevating the image of Vietnamese tourism within the international arena.
The fair will therefore provide an ideal venue for Vietnamese and international tourism firms to promote their brands, introduce tourism products, and develop both inbound and outbound tourism.
A forum titled "Vietnam Tourism - Green transformation for sustainable development" will be held on April 12 as part of efforts to raise awareness about green transformation solutions for Vietnamese tourism and market expansion with green tourism models.
