A trip to Dong Thap Muoi pristine melaleuca forest

VOV.VN - Dong Thap Muoi pristine melaleuca forest-Tan Lap floating village is one of the 10 most visited ecotourism sites in Vietnam.

About 15km from the Vietnam-Cambodia border to the south, Tan Lap melaleuca forest is located in Moc Hoa District, Long An province, 120km from HCM City. 
Covering an area of 135 hectares with 500 hectares of buffer zone, Tan Lap was selected as a development site for eco-tourism in Long An province and Dong Thap Muoi wetlands.

Visitors can stay overnight at a watchtower in the middle of the forest, with great views of sunrise through the forest.

Travellers can embark on a cable boat,
or a rowing boat,
to visit lotus ponds,
and the biggest bird sanctuary in Vietnam.
Birds fly through the golden rays of a magnificent sunset. 
Visitors should not miss out on tasting a hotpot made with the migratory Linh fish (Siamese mud carp) - a speciality of Dong Thap Muoi.
