‘À la carte’ festival brings French food to HCM City
VOV.VN - More than 1,000 guests have attended the annual‘à la carte’ festival on November 4-5 in Ho Chi Minh City— a celebration of contemporary French food, wine and art of living, designed to excite and inspire food lovers of all ages.
The event is an annual activity sponsored by the French Consulate General in HCM City. This year, the festival takes place at a hotel on Tran Binh Trong Street (District 5). |
Guests enjoy quality food products imported directly from France, such as bread, jam and pate. |
Or learn about and purchase famous brands of chocolate. |
They also have the opportunity to enjoy free over 50 varieties of cheese. |
Guests use ballots to buy food. Each guest gets ten ballots worth US$10 (VND200,000) when he/she buys an entrance ticket. |
Guests queue to buy entry tickets. |
They can then purchase food items ‘à la carte’ with the ballots. |
More than 25 food booths at the festival are always crowded. The staff never stops working. |
Regular patrons of the fair, say the festival this year is more crowded than last year and the food quantity and quality are better than ever. |

Some lucky winners will win a basketful of gifts in the sweepstakes and lucky spin events. |
