A café with a Hoi An-style ambience in Saigon

The coffee house which was opened around seven months ago attracts passers-by with its yellow wall and green doorway, and especially numerous colorful lanterns hung around the shop that give first-time comers a feeling of returning to Hoi An City in the central province of Quang Nam and relive their memories of childhood, especially those having lived far away from their homeland for a long time.

Unlike other glassy and classy coffee shops, this café has a simple interior décor with old items attached to many people’s childhoods such as a typewriter, an oil lamp, an old-fashioned radio set, antique paintings and old-fashioned doors, windows, tables and chairs. 

Guests are advised to choose a seat in an outdoor area on the first floor like a balcony of a house to take a panoramic view of the peaceful street while listening to beautiful songs by late musician Trinh Cong Son.

The menu includes various drinks like lemon juice, orange juice, iced coffee with milk, peach tea, ginger tea, Hue-style milk, yogurt, soda, and passion-fruit juice with prices ranging from VND20,000 to VND60,000.

Especially, guests to the café will have a chance to enjoy specialties of the central region of Vietnam such as Mi Quang (Quang noodle), cha bo (beef paste), and dry banh trang Dai Loc (Vietnamese rice paper cake).  

The café is located at 19, Huynh Tinh Cua Street in HCM City’s District 3, which is open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
