15 nations register for Vietnam International Travel Mart 2023
VOV.VN - Businesses from 15 countries and territories around the world have registered to participate in the Vietnam International Travel Mart - VITM Hanoi 2023 scheduled for April 13-16.
Themed “Cultural Tourism” VITM Hanoi 2023 is expected to contribute to preserving the value of cultural heritages whilst introducing Vietnamese culture to the world, said Vu The Binh, chairman of Vietnam Tourism Association, at a press briefing in Hanoi on March 28.
According to him, the travel expo aims to encourage businesses to design new tourism products by fully tapping into the unique values of the nation’s modern and traditional culture, including its cultural heritages.
It will also contribute to elevating the position of the Vietnamese tourism industry which has gradually developed into a spearhead economic sector of the country, he noted.
A number of tourism promotion activities will be held throughout the function, including Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Consumer (B2C) meetings, a forum on the development of Vietnamese cultural tourism, and a seminar on reducing plastic waste in tourism sites.
Participating travel firms are expected to offer more than 10,000 tours and promotional tourism products on this occasion.
Moreover, there will be special art performances from both domestic and international art troupes from Indonesia and Malaysia.
The four-day expo is anticipated to attract more than 60,000 visitors.
