14 Vietnamese dishes listed among world’s 100 best rated noodles
VOV.VN - Bánh Canh (thick noodle soup), Bò Kho (beef stew), and Bò Nhúng Giấm (beef in vinegar hot pot) have been named among the 14 Vietnamese dishes which feature in the 100 best rated noodles in the world.
The list was announced in March by Taste Atlas, a website dedicated to discovering fresh ingredients, traditional dishes, and authentic restaurants around the world. The results are based on evaluations given by both culinary experts and readers globally.
Taste Atlas names 14 Vietnamese dishes which span across three regions of the country.
Most notably, Bò Kho (beef stew) continues to affirm its popularity, ranking 11th in the world, closely followed Bún Chả (grilled pork meatballs with vermicelli noodles) which was placed in 12th position.
16th position went to Bò Nhúng Giấm (beef in vinegar hot pot), a Vietnamese version of a hot pot that is traditionally served in a communal style, according to TasteAtlas.
Rounding off the list of TasteAtlas’s 100 best rated noodles in the world were many representatives from throughout the Asian region, including Wanko soba of Japan, Kalguksu of the Republic of Korea, Hokkien mee of Singapore, Phat si-io of Thailand, and Pancit palabok of the Philippines.
