109 million passengers travel through Vietnamese airports in 2024
VOV.VN - In 2024, Vietnamese airports recorded a total of 109 million passengers, reflecting the robust recovery and growth of the aviation industry, reported the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV).
Of the total, the number of international passengers amounted to 41 million, up 26% year-on-year, while that of domestic passengers was 68 million, down 15 %.
The significant traffic highlights Vietnam’s growing role as a hub for tourism and trade in Southeast Asia. It also underscores the ongoing recovery of global air travel after pandemic-related disruptions, as well as Vietnam's increasing appeal as a destination for both leisure and business travelers.
The ACV also revealed that 663,000 takeoffs and landings were documented, a 7% decrease year-on-year, while 1,505 tonnes of cargos were handled, up 19% compared to 2023.
ACV’s total revenue was more than VND21.466 trillion, up 8% against 2023, and its pre-tax profit was estimated at over VND11,980 billion, up 35%.
In 2025 airports managed by the ACV aim to serve 118.9 million passengers, of whom 44 million will be international passengers. The revenue is set to reach VND21.782 trillion, marking a year-on-year increase of 1%.
