100-hectare field of sunflowers turns heads in Nghe An

VOV.VN -Every year, in late December, a sunflower field in Nghia Son commune, Nghia Dan district, central Nghe An Province comes alive with a brilliant carpet of yellow, orange and gold.

The field, 100 hectares wide, is 100km far from Vinh city.

Each sunflower is 1-1.5 metres high. Sunflowers are planted two or three times a year.

The field attracts swarms of young people eager to snap photos.

Standing in a field of more than a million sunflowers, one can't help but feel optimistic.

Visitors can rent ladders at US$1.30 (VND30,000) per hour to use to obtain panoramic views of the field.

Sunflowers from this field are used as animal feed for a nearby dairy farm.

Sunflowers generally are in full bloom from late March to mid-April.
