Vinacomin signs alumina export deal with UAE partner
VOV.VN - The Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin) has signed a contract with the Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to supply it with 300,000 tons of alumina (Aluminium Oxide) annually from 2018 to 2020.
Abdulla Kalban, EGA managing director, says EGA hopes the deal will kick-start further cooperation with Vinacomin.
For his part, Dang Thanh Hai, Vinacomin Director General says he believes that the deal will contribute to promoting trade ties between Vinacomin and EGA and between Vietnam and the UAE in general in the future.
Together with other long-term contract partners from India, Switzerland, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, this new deal will help ensure continued demand for Vinacomin’s alumina in many markets worldwide.
EGA is the largest industrial company in the UAE outside of oil and gas, and is one of the world’s largest ‘premium aluminium’ producers.
