Vietnam’s monthly imports and exports hit US$36 billion
VOV.VN - The country’s total trade value is estimated to reach US$144.13 billion for the first four months of the year, a year-on-year rise of 14.4%, with exports accounting for US$73.76 billion, up 19%, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
In general, the monthly trade value is around US$36 billion. It is noteworthy that Vietnam continues to record a trade surplus of US$700 million in April, bringing the total trade surplus for the first four months of 2018 to US$3.39 billion.
Major export staples in April included mobile phones and components, garments-textiles, computers, electronics and components. Computers, electronics and components took the lead among export products with US$3 billion in April and US$13.42 billion over the first four months.
