Vietnam takes aim at global accounting standards
(VOV) - An international conference on accounting – ICOA 2015 – got underway in Danang on May 22 with more than 200 dedicated accountants and corporate leaders from around the globe in attendance.
The conference will be showcasing 21 other top notch local and international speakers and industry captains who will discuss and share insights into today’s most pressing issues, challenges and opportunities affecting the accounting and business world.
The event has drawn the participation of hundreds of delegates from commerce and industry, public sectors, public practice and academia and is one of the largest such gatherings in the Southeast Asian region.
Vietnam’s accounting industry is still in its infancy said a representative of the Danang University of Economics, an organizer of the event.
With the nation facing international integration, the aim of the conference is to ensure professionals in both the private and public sectors thoroughly grasp global accounting standards in order to thrive in the new marketplace, a representative of the university stressed.
