Vietnam seeks trade openings at ASEAN Natural & Organic Show
VOV.VN - The ASEAN Natural & Organic Show opened on December 15 in Kolkata City, drawing the participation of around 80 businesses from Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, and Russia, and approximately 200 other firms from the host country India.
Over the course of the three-day event held by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham), exhibitors showcase a wide range of products such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food supplements, natural & organic food and beverages, herbal medicines, decorations, handicrafts, and natural essential oil.
Twenty out of total 23 Vietnamese businesses are attending the event under a support program of the Vietnamese and Indian governments.
The ASEAN market for food supplements and organic cosmetics is highly promising and predicted to exceed US$4.4 billion by 2020 with an average growth rate of 9.5%, accounting for 6.6% of the global food supplements and organic cosmetics market.
At the event, the Vietnamese Embassy’s Trade Office in India is organizing meetings between Indian managers and businesses and their international guests to exchange experiences and grasp market trends while seeking business opportunities. This is part of activities to mark the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-India diplomatic ties and the 25th anniversary of ASEAN-India dialogue partnership.
