Vietnam Airlines’ schedule for flights from and to Paris remains unchanged despite a series of attacks in the French capital city on November 13, the national flag carrier has said.
The firm announced on November 14’s afternoon that a flight from Hanoi to Paris landed safely at Charles De Gaulle airport at 6:02 a.m. (France time) on November 14.
Another flight from Paris to the Vietnamese capital will take off at 12:10 pm (France time) the same day as scheduled.
Vietnam Airlines cited the French foreign minister as saying that airports in Paris still operate normally but security has been tightened, thus it will take more time to conduct security procedures.
It recommended passengers boarding flights from Paris come to airports at least three hours before the departure time and prepare personal documents carefully.
To assist passengers, the carrier decided to exchange tickets on flights between Vietnam and Europe (France, Germany, the UK and Russia) on November 14 and 15 free of charge. It will update the operation of flights on and support to passengers boarding these routes.
Shortly after being notified about the attacks on civilians in Paris, Vietnam Airlines sent condolences to the French Embassy in Vietnam and its partners in France over the heavy casualties.
