State bank: Banknote change news is fabrication

Rumor circulated on social networks on recent day about the State Bank of Vietnam going to make banknote change is fabricated and ill-intended, state the State Bank of Vietnam on December 1.

The SBV warned that people should stay vigilant over such made-up news to avoid any economic losses that will affect their own life as well as the national currency security.

The bank also affirmed that the change of banknote denominations in some countries in the world do not affect and has no relations to the stability of Vietnamese Dong.
