Shoppers set to spend US$45 million on Online Friday

VOV.VN - Vietnamese shoppers are set to spend an estimated US$45 million on Online Friday this year, the organizers have announced.

This year and every year hereinafter, Online Friday will fall on the first Friday of December, the organizers, Vietnam E-commerce and Information Technology Agency and Vietnam E-Commerce Association, told reporters at an August 18 press conference.

They also unveiled they expect a record high 3,000 businesses to participate in this year’s extravaganza aimed at boosting online sales, launching special one-day sales on in excess of 200,000 products.

Name brand companies the likes of Samsung, Intel, Asus, Oppo, Omni-Channel have already registered to participate, they said, along with hundreds of start-up companies and highly popular domestic brands.
