Obama meets Vietnamese entrepreneurs

VOV.VN - On May 24, US President Barack Obama met the Vietnamese business community in Dreamplex, a co-working office space for startups in HCM City. Some photos:

Secretary of the HCM City municipal Party Committee Dinh La Thang made his presence at the meeting

President Obama was impressed by the growth and spirit of entrepreneurs in HCM City 

He said the US will support Vietnam in start-up activities and English teaching and highlighted future development of startups. 

Later, he held talks with three young entrepreneurs namely, Le Hoang Uyen Vy, founder of Adayroi.com, Do Thi Thuy Hang, Vice president of Retail Group Seedcom, and Khoa Pham, Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs, Microsoft Vietnam

The US President underlined the importance of attracting American companies to invest in start-up activities in Vietnam

Obama answered questions on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), which will bring 12 nations in the Asia-Pacific region closer and emphasized that Vietnam is one of the countries benefiting most from the agreement.

The US top leader posed for photos with young entrepreneurs.

Before the meeting, Obama talked with Ngo Huynh Ngoc Khanh, a student from Ho Chi MInh City’s University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
