HCM City earns US$7 million from ornamental fish exports
VOV.VN - By June 15, Ho Chi Minh City had exported 7.4 million ornamental fishes to get US$7 million, up 13% in volume and 32% in value against the same period last year, according to the municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD).
Last year, the city earned US$11 million from selling 12 million ornamental fishes, up 12% in value and 9.9% in volume.
DARD said average ornamental fish export volume grew 8.6% in the 2011-2015 period while export revenue was up by 6.6%.
Since early this year, the city also exported 4,307 live crocodiles, and 2,202 pieces of crocodile leather.
