Autumn Economic Forum to review Vietnam’s int’l integration process

(VOV) - The Autumn Economic Forum titled ‘Vietnam economy – integration and sustainable development’ is due to take place in northern Thanh Hoa province on August 27.

The event is designed to provide practical measures to spur economic development in the international integration process.

At a press briefing in Hanoi on August 20 to introduce the forum, NA Committee for Economic Affairs Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Phuc, said the forum will focus on two main targets; preparing contents for a supervisory report of the NA Standing Committee at its September session reviewing the results of Vietnam’s international economic integration since its entry to the World Trade Organisation (WTO), as well as the country’s bilateral and multilateral commitments.

Participants will discuss issues related to the international economic integration process, and the impact of WTO obligations on national socio-economic development.

The forum of its kind has been held biannually in Spring and Autumn since 2012.
