An Giang earns US$110.8 million from exports in two months
Export turnover of the Mekong Delta province of An Giang in February was estimated at US$55.25 million, up 2.12% year-on-year.

According to Vo Nguyen Nam, Director of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, with the figure, the locality’s export revenue in the first two months of this year reached US$110.8 million, a rise of 5.62% against the same period last year.
The province’s main export items like rice, seafood and garments-textiles saw higher export revenue as compared with the corresponding time last year.
During the period, An Giang shipped abroad 61,390 tonnes of rice, pocketing US$30.76 million, up 53.2% in volume and 72.8% in value. Meanwhile, 22,120 tonnes of seafood worth US$50.73 million were delivered overseas, increases of 20.09% in volume and 52% in value.
Other exports like garments-textiles, footwear, fertilizers and pesticides recorded revenue equivalent to that of the same period last year.
The department has partnered with relevant units to remove difficulties in production and export facing frozen vegetables whose export turnover slightly decreased against the corresponding time last year.
The sector has also frequently got updated information about export-import markets, especially China.
