AEON Mall Long Bien welcomes 170,000 visitors at weekend

(VOV) - AEON Mall Long Bien welcomed 170,000 visitors last weekend, Shigeru Furuki, general director of AEON Mall Long Bien told the press.

Mr Furuki said at the press conference held after the Mall’s inauguration ceremony on November 3.

The ceremony was attended by Japanese ambassador to Vietnam, Fukada Hiroshi, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Ho Thi Kim Thoa and leaders of relevant ministries.

After its official opening on October 28, AEON Mall has welcomed around 80,000 visitors a day and up to 170,000 visitors on Sunday November 1. Customers are most interested in pharmaceutical products and healthcare equipment, said Mr Furuki.

Japan is now Vietnam’s second largest investor with 721 FDI projects capitalized at more than US$4.7 billion and 23 ODA projects totally valued at over US$2.9 billion being implemented in Hanoi.

Japan’s AEON Mall Long Bien is expected to promote tourism, trade and services and speed up investment in the city as well as strengthening regional co-ordination.
