Nguyen Hue Flower Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, was a popular destination for both locals and tourists on January 28 (the 29th day of the Lunar New Year). Despite being early afternoon, the weather was pleasant with a mild breeze, creating perfect conditions for visitors to enjoy the spring atmosphere.
The street was bustling with people from one end to the other. Visitors, including groups of friends, families, and couples, walked around dressed in new clothes, taking photos to capture the beautiful moments.
“The flower street is more beautiful than I expected. I'm not from here, and this is my first visit. It’s beyond what I imagined. The decorations are very intricate, with flowers stretching from one end to the other. It’s really impressive and beautiful,” said Nguyen Ha Linh, a student studying abroad who returned home for the Lunar New Year and was strolling with her family.
2025 is the Year of the Snake (At Ty), and while the snake is not everyone's favorite animal, some visitors avoided the snake-themed decorations at the beginning of the street, choosing to head straight into the interior displays. Some families also faced challenges as young children were frightened by the snake figures and didn’t want to get too close.
“I’m here with a group of colleagues. The spring atmosphere is lively, but I feel like the displays this year aren’t as beautiful as last year, even though I was born in the Year of the Snake,” shared Tue Lâm, an office worker.
Nguyen Hue Flower Street has long been a popular destination for spring visitors and has become a cultural event symbolizing Ho Chi Minh City’s dynamic, creative, and welcoming spirit. It’s not only a favorite spot for locals and domestic tourists but also a must-see location for international visitors. On the 29th day of Tet, Nguyen Hue Flower Street welcomed a large number of international tourists, who were admiring and enjoying the stunning decorations.
