VOV.VN - The Ho Chi Minh City Tet Book Street Festival 2025 opened on January 28, showcasing nearly 68,000 copies of books from 22 publishing houses and businesses.
This year’s event opened with the theme of “Non song gam hoa, vui xuan thai hoa” (A prosperous and happy country—a joyful and peaceful Lunar New Year) and is taking place along a section on Le Loi street running from Nguyen Hue Boulevard to Quach Thi Trang Square in District 1.
Covering an area of 11,200 square metres, the festival also features a special display area for literary works and Happy New Year poems of late President Ho Chi Minh, as well as a number of documents, images, and works completed by late Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Furthermore, there is also a private space set up to showcase documents, images, and publications marking the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) (February 3, 1930–2025), the 50th anniversary of southern liberation and national reunification (April 30, 1975–2025), and the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.
The Book Street Festival has become a unique and typical cultural event of Ho Chi Minh City every Tet, with the function giving domestic and foreign visitors a springtime destination and helping to promote reading habits in the local community.
It will last until February 2, which is the fifth day of the first month of the lunar calendar.
