US President Donald Trump’s attendance at the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting and his State visit to Hanoi from November 10-12 show that the US wants to strengthen its ties with Vietnam in trade, economy and security.

The APEC 2017 CEO Summit, themed “Creating New Dynamism and Fostering a Shared Future” opened in the central city of Da Nang on November 8 as part of the APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week.

All eyes are on Vietnam as it is hosting the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week, the biggest economic event in the Asia-Pacific region.
