The Vietnam International Sourcing Expo 2026 is scheduled to take place from September 3 to 5 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in Ho Chi Minh City, offering Vietnamese seafood enterprises a new platform to engage directly with major global distributors and importers.

VOV.VN - Vietnamese seafood enterprises are being encouraged to move away from viewing the domestic market as merely a backup for exports and instead invest in consumer research, packaging, branding, and modern distribution to unlock the full potential of the country’s 100-million-strong market.

VOV.VN - Vietnam’s seafood exports reached US$5.16 billion in the first half of 2025, up 16.9% year-on-year, with Brazil posting the highest growth among major markets at 71.3%.

VOV.VN - The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (FSVPS) have recently added two more seafood enterprises to the list of Vietnamese firms permitted to export to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as of May 4.

While the Russia-Ukraine conflict has left negative impacts related to transport, inflation and international payments on import and export activities, it could also create opportunities for businesses which adopted timely adaptation measures, experts have said.
