Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh has approved the submission of the scientific dossier on the Oc Eo – Ba The archaeological site in southern An Giang province to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) for consideration and inclusion on the world heritage list.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh has agreed in principle to the preparation of scientific dossiers on pho (rice noodle soup) and water puppetry as intangible cultural heritage, to be submitted to UNESCO for inscription on its heritage lists.
The People's Committees of the northern provinces of Quang Ninh, Hai Duong and Bac Giang have agreed to consult leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism about adding Bach Dang pile yard to the scientific dossier on the Complex of Yen Tu Monuments and Landscapes to seek UNESCO's recognition as world culture heritage.
