Vietnam’s retail market is at a turning point, shifting from traditional models to modern ones, and from mass consumption to smart and sustainable consumption. Therefore, retail enterprises are advised to move toward modern, digitalised, and sustainable management and business practices.

VOV.VN - The Vietnam Retailers Association hosted a seminar on April 6 in Hanoi with the theme of "Industry 4.0 and opportunities for the retail industry in Vietnam".

Despite low growth in 2021, the local retail industry is still considered full of potential and will continue to explore areas for new growth.

Vietnam’s total revenue from retail trade and services reached over VND5 quadrillion (US$219.5 billion) in 2020, representing a modest yearly rise of 2.6%, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).
