VOV.VN - UNESCO has renewed recognition for Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark after it passed a second revalidation, awarding the site its highest rating and extending its status for another four years.

The People’s Committee of Cao Bang province on September 30 held a ceremony to launch a culture, sports, and tourism week and receive a certificate re-verifying Non Nuoc Cao Bang a UNESCO-recognised Global Geopark.

UNESCO experts are willing to share experience and support the northern mountainous province of Lang Son to build a dossier for a global geopark, UNESCO Representative to Vietnam Christian Manhart pledged on February 23.

VOV.VN - Along with Ban Gioc waterfall, the northern border province of Cao Bang also features a unique mountain sitting in the middle of a beautiful valley, known as Mat Than (Angle Eye) Mountain.
