VOV.VN - Vietnamese peacekeepers operating the Level-2 field Hospital No. 4 in South Sudan have been honoured with UN Peacekeeping medals in recognition of their outstanding contributions during the year-long mission in the East African country.

Level-2 Field Hospital No. 4 of Vietnam, which perform duties at the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) in Bentiu, has inaugurated an obstetrics clinic, according to the Vietnam Department for Peacekeeping Operations.

VOV.VN - A farewell ceremony for the 2nd detachment of Level-2 Field Hospital No. 4 to carry out duties in the UN peacekeeping missions in South Sudan was held by the Ministry of National Defence on May 24 in the military airfield of Division 371 of the Air Defence – Air Force Service.

The Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations on April 21 hosted a ceremony to launch an emulation movement among the staff of the first engineering team and the level-2 field hospital No. 4 before they are deployed to the UN peacekeeping mission.

Vietnamese peacekeepers of Level 2 Field Hospital No. 3 in South Sudan delivered medical care to save a 50-year-old officer from a stroke on April 11.

VOV.VN - A total of 63 Vietnamese peacekeepers at the Vietnamese Level-2 field Hospital No. 3 (L2FH3) in South Sudan have been honoured with UN Peacekeeping medals in recognition of their outstanding contributions during their year-long mission in the East African country.

An additional medical training course for the level-2 field hospital No.4 opened in Hanoi on November 10.

The UN highly valued Vietnam's high sense of responsibility and the professionalism of Vietnamese officers in peacekeeping operations, and wished that Vietnam will continue to maintain and increase its forces in UN peacekeeping missions, said Deputy Minister of National Defence Hoang Xuan Chien.

A transport aircraft C17 of the Royal Australian Air Force on April 24 safely landed at Hanoi-based Noi Bai international airport, carrying 32 out of the 63 staff members of Level-2 Field Hospital No.2 who had finished their tenure in South Sudan.
