Amid booming digital commerce, product traceability is emerging as the crucial “passport” for Vietnamese goods to expand globally, even as fragmented systems and weak data authentication continue to hinder its full effectiveness.
A conference on promoting trade between Vietnam and China in the field of digital commerce was held in Hangzhou, China’s Zhejiang province, on September 26, as part of the third Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE 2024).
Measures have been taken to boost domestic trade to maintain an 8-9% growth rate per year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).
Large retail firms are to gain even more market share this year as smaller competitors have been forced to exit the game after prolonged lockdowns and mobility restrictions during recent years, said industry experts.
