VOV.VN - The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha - Ho Chi Minh City (VBS HCMC) is preparing to convene its first congress for the 2026–2031 term, an event selected as a model congress for the entire country, according to a press congress on March 30.
The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)'s Executive Council held the second session of the ninth tenure (2022-2027) to review the outcomes of the 9th National Buddhist Congress and implement its Resolution.
Since its introduction into Vietnam, Buddhism has integrated into the Vietnamese social life and become an important element in the national culture, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said in a reception for a delegation of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) after the success of the 9th National Buddhist Congress on November 29.
An exhibition on Buddhism in Vietnam opened in Hanoi on November 27, as part of the ninth National Buddhist Congress.
Nearly 1,100 delegates from across the country will attend the ninth National Buddhist Congress, scheduled for November 28-29 in Hanoi, heard a press conference on November 23 to introduce the event.
