The Hanoi Department of Public Security on December 13 officially put the city’s smart traffic control centre into operation, enabling the electronic handling of administrative violations related to traffic order and road safety.
The Traffic Police Division under the Hanoi Department of Public Security on October 22 launched a general plan to ensure smooth traffic during the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime (Hanoi Convention), scheduled for October 25–26 in the capital.
Ten laws will come into effect from January 1, 2025, including the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety; the Law on Roads; the Capital Law; the Law on Public Investment; and the revised Law on Organisation of People's Courts.
The Government has issued a Decree detailing provisions for the enforcement of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, including conditions under which foreign motor vehicles and drivers may operate in Vietnam.
