Vietnam’s message on human rights is consistent: human rights are universal, but their implementation must be practical and closely linked to people’s daily lives, such as the rights to healthcare, education and sustainable employment.

The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) is carrying out measures to create sustainable employment, as many businesses are forced to cut the number of their employees, although the labour market is showing signs of recovery in the second quarter of this year.

Vietnam shared its experience in ensuring the rights of labourers and emphasised the significance of better caring for them as well as the creation of sustainable employment, at an event held by the International Labour Organisation and the Group of Friends of Decent Work for Sustainable Development in New York.
