Ho Chi Minh City is advancing into a dynamic mega-urban hub, with its tourism sector accelerating digital transformation to showcase the city’s identity, people and distinctive cultural and culinary attractions.
Vietnam unveiled its national tourism data platform “Visit Vietnam” in the northern province of Quang Ninh on August 15, a strategic move to design an integrated tourism database for destination information, reviews, and travel service bookings.
Vietnam is rapidly embracing technology to develop digital and smart tourism, aiming to create fresh and attractive products, lure tourists, enhance competitiveness, stimulate growth, and achieve sustainable development.
Ho Chi Minh City will improve its public digital infrastructure and allow the private sector to engage in smart tourism solutions and mobilise investment resources for the sector as part of its efforts to develop smart tourism in the 2021-2025 period.
